Antecedentes Background
CHANEL ha sido siempre una de mis marcas de belleza favoritas. Recuerdo claramente que compré mi primer producto de maquillaje CHANEL, una sombra de ojos blanca de efecto perlado, cuando tenía 24 años. Todavía conservo el envase. Todo lo que hace CHANEL desprende calidad y trasciende a las tendencias. CHANEL siempre es fiel a su estilo visionario y su línea de belleza va más allá de las modas para crear cosméticos, maquillaje y fragancias de alta calidad, atemporales, elegantes y con un toque de lujo reservado. Me encanta su línea de maquillaje, en especial las bases de maquillaje y adoro su colección de fragancias. En mi opinión, lo único en lo que CHANEL no estaba a la altura era en crear productos más naturales y sostenibles. Mi sorpresa vino cuando hace poco descubrí la última línea de cosméticos Nº1 DE CHANEL, una nueva generación de cosméticos eco-responsables. Hace tiempo que nunca compro un producto de belleza sin antes probar la mini talla. Como CHANEL no vende mini tallas, fui a una de sus tiendas físicas y pedí una muestra de la Crema Revitalizante Nº1 DE CHANEL.
CHANEL is one of my favorite beauty brands of all times. I clearly remember buying my first CHANEL makeup product, a white pearlescent eyeshadow, when I was 24 and I still keep the packaging. Everything CHANEL does exudes quality and transcends trendiness. CHANEL is always true to its visionary style and the beauty line goes beyond trends to create high quality skincare, makeup and fragrances with a timeless, elegant and understated luxe feel to it. I love CHANEL makeup, specially the foundations and I particularly adore the fragrance collection. In my opinion, the only thing CHANEL wasn’t excelling was at making their products clean and sustainable. My surprise came when I recently discovered the latest line Nº 1 DE CHANEL, a new generation of eco-responsible beauty products. These days I never buy a full size beauty product without trying a mini size first, so I went to a CHANEL counter and requested a sample of Nº1 DE CHANEL Revitalising Cream.
Para mí, la crema hidratante es el básico número uno en mi rutina de cuidado facial. Mi piel es muy seca y sensible y no puedo pasar sin hidratarla a diario con cremas hidratantes que no irriten ni alteren mi piel. Debo admitir que soy bastante especial con las cremas hidratantes. A pesar de que mi piel es muy seca, no me gustan las hidratantes intensas porque dejan mi piel con sensación pesada y con brillos indeseados, además tardan una eternidad en absorberse. Asimismo, las cremas hidratantes ligeras no consiguen hidratar lo suficiente, dejando mi piel seca, tirante y con aspecto apagado al cabo de pocas horas. Las cremas en textura gel tampoco me funcionan porque no se adhieren a mi piel, dejando restos de producto y aspecto irregular.
For me face moisturizer is the number one staple in my skincare routine. My skin is very dry and sensitive and I can’t go without moisturizing daily with moisturizers that don’t irritate my skin. I must admit I’m quite picky with moisturizers. Although my skin is very dry, I hate rich moisturizers because they leave my skin heavy with product, greasy and shiny, plus they take forever to get absorbed. On the other hand, light moisturizers don’t hydrate well enough and after a couple of hours my skin feels and looks dry, tight and dull. Gel moisturizers don’t work for me either as they don’t stay on my skin and turn into patches.
Pocas son las veces que voy directa a comprar una crema hidratante facial con este precio tan elevado después de probar una muestra, pero Crema Revitalizante Nº1 DE CHANEL es mucho más que una hidratante facial convencional.
It’s hardly ever the case I run to buy a face moisturizer with this high price tag soon after trying a sample, but Nº1 DE CHANEL Revitalising Cream is much more than an ordinary face moisturizer.

La tapa de la crema está hecha con cáscaras de camelia, suena increíble verdad? y materiales de origen biológico.
Keeping with sustainable beauty standards, Nº1 DE CHANEL Revitalising Cream packaging -apart from being beautiful and exuding quality- is sustainable at many levels. For instance, the cream cap is made with camelia husks, it sounds amazing right? and other bio-made materials.
El envase de cristal es reutilizable y recargable, de modo que cuando se termina la crema se pueden comprar sólo las recargas y reducir residuos. La caja es reciclable y está hecha con cartón certificado FSC.
The glass container is reusable and refillable. When the cream is finished you can buy only refills and reduce waste. The box is recyclable and made with FSC certified cardboard.
Textura Texture
Me gusta que mi crema facial se absorba rápido y dejé mi piel perfectamente preparada para el maquillaje, por lo que las texturas pesadas que tardan en absorberse son un no rotundo para mí. La textura de esta crema es una maravilla. Densa y compacta pero a la vez aterciopelada y ligera, parece que no llevas producto en la piel. Aporta confort instantáneo pero sin sensación pesada. Si te gustan las texturas super ricas y cremosas, esta cremas no es para ti. Del mismo modo, tampoco te gustará si prefieres las texturas tipo gel. La textura de Crema Revitalizante Nº1 DE CHANEL es consistente y se funde en la piel para revelar firmeza y tersura instantáneas al rostro.
I like my face cream to absorb fast and to leave my skin perfectly prepped for makeup, so greasy, heavy textures that take long to absorb are an absolute no for me. The texture of this face cream is an absolute dream. Thick and dense yet velvety and lightweight, you won’t notice you are wearing anything on skin. If you like super creamy, heavy textures this cream is not for you. The same applies if you favor gel-like textures. Nº1 DE CHANEL Revitalising Cream has a thick consistency that instantly reveals a firmer, plumper appearance to complexion.
Es súper hidratante pero se absorbe rápidamente y no deja residuos o sensación grasa. Me encanta lo luminosa que deja mi piel, pero no luminosa con brillos, simplemente radiante y lo que más me sorprende es que no se transforma en parches brillantes al cabo de unas horas, algo que suele pasarme con la gran mayoría de cremas faciales que he probado.
It’s super moisturizing yet ultra fast absorbing and it doesn’t leave any residue or greasy feeling on skin. I love how glowy my skin looks but not shiny or greasy glowy, simply naturally radiant. Most amazingly, it doesn’t turn into greasy patches after few hours of application, which is something I really get with the vast majority of face creams I tried.

Fragancia Fragrance
Personalmente, me encanta la fragancia de esta crema. Todos los cosméticos de CHANEL huelen de maravilla y la Crema Revitalizante Nº1 DE CHANEL no es una excepción. Su fragancia floral es todo un lujo. Suave y delicada, se percibe al aplicarla pero no resulta molesta. Con notas luminosas de cítricos y frutos rojos, almizcle blanco y absoluto de jazmín, esta crema realmente huele divinamente.
I simply adore the fragrance of this cream. All CHANEL skincare smells wonderful and Nº1 DE CHANEL Revitalising Cream is no exception. The floral fragrance is an absolute treat. Soft and delicate, you really notice the fragrance on application, but it’s not overwhelming at all. With luminous notes of citrus and red berries, white musk and jasmine absolute, this cream really smells heavenly.
Resultados Results
No espero que mi crema facial minimice las arrugas. Para este objetivo prefiero utilizar principios activos específicos que ayudan a corregir las arrugas y los signos de envejecimiento de forma más efectiva. Nunca he tenido una crema facial que realmente me ayudara a reducir las arrugas. Una crema facial está diseñada principalmente para hidratar, nutrir, proteger e iluminar la piel. Como mucho puede ayudar a prevenir el envejecimiento pero difícilmente disminuye o elimina las arrugas.
I don’t expect my face moisturizer to reduce wrinkles. For that purpose I like to use specific active ingredients that help correct the appearance of fine lines and signs of ageing more effectively. I never came across any face cream that really helped me to reduce wrinkles. A face cream is supposed to hydrate, nourish, protect skin and boost radiance. At most, it can help to prevent signs of aging, but It will hardly erase wrinkles.
En lo que realmente destaca la Crema Revitalizante Nº1 DE CHANEL es en dejar la piel preciosa. Al instante, la piel se suaviza, está más tersa, firme y luminosa. Proporciona un efecto lifting instantáneo. Los efectos son obviamente temporales, pero si una crema puede darme una piel bonita de aspecto más joven al momento, ya me tiene convencida. Además su textura se absorbe muy rápidamente, permitiendo aplicar el maquillaje acto seguido sin crear capas ni residuos y logrando que el maquillaje permanezca impecable durante el día, siendo el mejor de los primers. En este sentido, me recuerda a otro cosmético de CHANEL Le Lift Serum, pero en mi opinión esta crema es mejor porque es más confortable, natural e hidratante. Esta crema hidrata pero sin notarse pesada en la piel y no deja sensación grasa. Tampoco genera parches de grasa a lo largo de día. La piel queda luminosa pero no brillante, que es exactamente lo que espero de mi crema facial. Me gusta la luminosidad natural pero odio los brillos. He estado usando a diario durante tres semanas y los efectos permanentes que he notado son una piel más elástica y revitalizada, en el sentido que se nota y se ve más saludable. Mi piel es muy seca y sensible y desde que uso esta crema la noto menos tirante y apagada y mucho más tersa y fresca. Mi piel no sólo se nota más confortable al aplicarla sino también a largo plazo, como un efecto permanente.
What Nº1 DE CHANEL Revitalizing Cream excels at is in leaving skin perfectly and beautifully prepped. Skin looks instantly softer, plumper, firmer and radiant. It’s like getting an instant mini-lift. Effects are obviously not permanent but if a face cream can give me beautiful, younger-looking skin instantly I’m totally sold. Plus the texture is ultra fast absorbing and allows applying makeup straight away without pilling and making foundation stay flawless throughout the day, so it works as the best skin primer. In this sense, Nº1 DE CHANEL Revitalizing Cream works quite similar to CHANEL Le Lift Serum, but this cream is in my opinion much better because it feels more comfortable on skin and it’s more natural and hydrating. This dreamy cream hydrates skin but without feeling heavy at all and it doesn’t leave skin greasy on application. Skin looks beautifully glowy but not shiny, which is exactly what I want my face cream to do. I like natural glow but I hate shine. I’ve been using it daily for three weeks and the long term effects I noticed is that my skin feels more elastic and revitalized, in the sense that It feels and looks more healthy. My skin is very dry and sensitive and since using this cream, it feels less tight and more comfortable. Skin not only feels super comfortable after application but also permanently, as a long term effect.
En resumen, la calidad de esta crema es excepcional. Con su textura super absorbente, deja la piel saludable, luminosa y perfectamente preparada para el maquillaje. Hecha de forma natural y sostenible, con 95% de ingredientes de origen natural y envase recargable, es una gran opción para quienes prefieren las cremas naturales y ecológicas sin renunciar a los resultados. La única parte negativa es su precio. Esta crema no es barata, pero con muy poca cantidad es suficiente, por lo que puedes esperar que la Crema Revitalizante Nº1 DE CHANEL te dure mucho más que cualquier crema convencional. Además sus efectos revitalizantes y perfeccionadores son tan notables que puedes suprimir el serum y el primer de tu rutina de día, ahorrando y compensando la inversión.
In overall, the quality of this cream is exceptional. With an ultra fast absorbing texture, it leaves skin looking healthy, glowy and perfectly prepped for makeup. Naturally and sustainably made, with 95% of natural origin ingredients and a refillable packaging, it’s a great cream for those who like clean and eco-friendly skincare with high performance results. My only con is the price tag. This cream doesn’t come cheap, but a little bit really goes a long way, so you can expect Nº1 DE CHANEL Revitalizing Cream to last much more than the average facial cream, plus the effects on skin are so outstanding, you can perfectly skip serum and primer on your morning skincare routine, saving up on those and making up for the high price tag.

The price tag is lower than I was expecting. That being said, I personally still wouldn’t spend that amount on a face moisturiser especially seeing as it contains fragrance.
If you like moisturisers that nourish and give you radiant skin, yet have an elegant, easily absorbed texture, CNP (Korean brand) have one called Propolis Ampule active cream which I’ll repurchase once I run out of my current moisturisers. Not sure if that’s easily available in Spain though 🤔
Yes, this cream contains fragrance, so if your skin is reactive to fragrance, I would not recommend it.

One of my memorable presents (totally unexpected) was the No 19 body wash and body creme from Chanel. I (made it) last well past its expiry date 🙂 I would shower, then hours later open the shower cabin door only to smell the lingering fragrance 🙂
The benefits you list here are exactly what one would expect out of a facial creme, but they DO work, that’s the great thing about Chanel or any GOOD product). 🙂

Chanel No19 is my favorite fragrance! I wish I could try the body wash and the body cream, I don´t think they´re available anymore.
Chanel products are expensive, but you get exceptional quality and results. If I really like a product, I don´t mind investing the money because I know I won´t be disappointed.

Lots of brands are getting behind eco products now, which is cool to see. Sadly not all of such products are up to much, which is why reviews like yours are so important.
I love that you kept your first Chanel product packaging. I kept my first eyeshadow from a brand I first bought from when I was a teenager, age 15 too! It’s a shame about the price but it sounds like a fab cream, especially with the consistency and how fast it absorbs, without leaving any greasy or oily shine to your face afterwards. I also haven’t had a face cream in ages that’s had any real scent, so I quite like that this had an uplifting fragrance to it. I’d quite like to try the multipurpose lip balm in this range, too.
