Mi pasión por el maquillaje me viene desde la adolescencia y hay dos clases de cosméticos que me han obsesionado a lo largo de los años: los pintalabios y las bases de maquillaje. He probado infinidad de bases de maquillaje liquidas y sólo muy de vez en cuando quedo verdaderamente impresionada por una base. Para convencerme de verdad, tiene que cumplir muchos requisitos. Buena cobertura, acabado natural impecable, larga duración, resistente al agua y al sudor, que no se cuartee ni se asiente en las arrugas y que no se transfiera. CHANEL es una marca conocida por la calidad en sus bases de maquillaje, pero no tenía claro que CHANEL Ultra Le Teint pasaría la prueba en mi piel muy seca. Sigue leyendo para descubrirlo.
My love for makeup comes since I was in my teens and there are two makeup categories I’ve been obsessed with over the years: lipstick and foundation. I tried an infinite number of liquid foundations and it’s very occasionally that I’m truly wowed by a foundation. It must hit many markers to be perfect. Great coverage, natural flawless finish, long lasting, water and sweat proof, no creasing or patching and minimal transfer. CHANEL Beauty is well known for excelling in complexion products, but I wasn’t sure CHANEL Ultra Le Teint would pass the test on my very dry skin. Keep reading to find out.

El tono que más se ajusta a mi color de piel es el B20 pero siempre elijo un tono más, en este caso B30, un tono medio con matices neutros, para dar a mi rostro efecto buena cara.
The shade closer to my skin tone is B20, but I always go for a shade darker, B30 in this case, a medium shade with neutral undertones. to get a healthier sun-kissed complexion.

El envase The packaging
El envase de esta base de maquillaje es de calidad y muy práctico de usar. Con el icónico logotipo de la marca en blanco y el negro como protagonista, es elegante y atemporal.
The packaging of this foundation is high quality and very user friendly. With the iconic white logo and black as a dominating color, it looks super chic and timeless.
Esta base se presenta en un envase de cristal de acabado mate con pulsador hermético que facilita controlar la cantidad que se necesita y mantiene producto estable a lo largo de su uso. De hecho, el envase es el mismo que el de la base de maquillaje CHANEL Vitalumière, pero en acabado mate.
This foundation comes in an airless pump frosted glass bottle, which makes easy to control the amount of foundation needed and keeps the product stable throughout its use. In fact, the bottle is the same one as CHANEL Vitalumière foundation but in a matte version.

Antecedentes Background
Adoro el maquillaje de CHANEL. Me encanta no sólo la alta calidad y el resultado de sus productos, sino también sus envases elegantes y atemporales. Es mi marca de maquillaje de lujo favorita. He probado todas las categorías de maquillaje de CHANEL y, en mi opinión, CHANEL destaca en las bases de maqullaje. Mi obsesión por las bases de maquillaje CHANEL comenzó con CHANEL Teint Innocence, mi base de maquillaje favorita de todos los tiempos, que lamentablemente dejó de fabricarse hace algunos años y ya no puedo comprar. Desde entonces, he probado casi todas las bases que CHANEL ha lanzado y ninguna me ha decepcionado. Todas las bases de CHANEL cumplen lo que prometen. Al tener la piel muy seca y de aspecto apagado, trato de mantenerme alejada de las bases de maquillaje mates de larga duración, ya que resecan mucho la piel y suelen cuartearse. Cuando CHANEL lanzó Ultra Le Teint, no le presté particular interés. Eso fue hasta que probé una muestra. Me enamoré del acabado suave y aterciopelado de esta base y no pude evitar comprar el tamaño completo.
I adore CHANEL makeup. I love not only the high quality and performance of their products but also their chic and timeless packaging. It’s my favorite luxe makeup brand. I tried all CHANEL makeup categories, and in my opinion, CHANEL excels in foundations. My obsession with CHANEL foundations began with CHANEL Teint Innocence, my all-time favorite foundation, which unfortunately was discontinued some years ago and I’m unable to purchase. Since then, I tried almost every foundation CHANEL released and I’ve never been disappointed. All CHANEL foundations deliver what they promise. Having very dry, dull skin, I try to keep away from long lasting matte foundations, as they feel drying and tend to look cakey and patchy. When CHANEL released Ultra Le Teint foundation I gave it a pass. That was until I tried a sample. I felt in love with the velvety, smooth seamless finish of this foundation and I couldn’t help but buying the full size.

After wearing CHANEL Ultra Le Teint for several occasions, these are my impressions.
Textura Texture
La textura cremosa de esta base de maquillaje se funde con la piel dejando una sensación de confort que dura todo el día. Básicamente, no notas que vas maquillada. Se aplica fácilmente con los dedos de manera impecable. No es de secado rápido, por lo que se puede trabajar durante unos minutos. Se reaplica impecablemente para una cobertura más alta. Deja la piel aterciopelada y unifica el tono. De larga duración, no se cuartea ni forma parches, no se asienta en las arrugas y mantiene los brillos a raya durante horas.
The silky texture of this foundation melts onto skin leaving a comfort feel that lasts all day. Basically, you feel you are not wearing any foundation. The texture applies seamlessly. It’s not a fast-drying foundation, so you can work the application. It layers flawlessly to build up coverage. It leaves skin velvety smooth and it evens skin tone. Super long lasting, it doesn’t crease or patch, it doesn’t sit into fine lines and it keeps shine at bay all day.

The oil-free formula infused with vegetal glycerin provides all day comfort whilst soft focus luminous perfection powder blurs imperfections. The foundation has a super delicate floral citrus fragrance that makes application a really nice treat.
Cobertura y acabado Coverage and finish
Esta base tiene una cobertura media que se puede modular a alta aplicando más cantidad de producto. Cubre perfectamente imperfecciones, ojeras y manchas oscuras sin efecto máscara. El acabado es muy natural. La piel queda mate y aterciopelada, pero a la vez muy luminosa. Este acabado natural perfeccionador es una de las cosas que más me gustan de esta base. Normalmente las bases mates apagan el tono, sobre todo en la piel seca, pero con esta base mi piel queda impecable y radiante sin rastro de brillos.
This foundation delivers medium buildable coverage. It can easily and seamlessly be built to full coverage by applying a second layer. It perfectly covers imperfections, dark circles and dark spots without looking cakey or powdery. The finish is truly natural. Skin looks velvety matte with a beautiful luminous finish. This natural perfecting finish is one of the things I most love about this foundation. Usually matte foundations make skin look dull, specially for dry skin types, but with this foundation my skin looks flawless and radiant with no trace of shine.
Visión general Overview

Tiene un acabado empolvado muy suave para mantener a raya el brillo, pero sorprendentemente no reseca en absoluto ni queda opaca. Por lo general, no me inclino por las bases mate porque no le hacen ningún favor a mi piel muy seca, pero esta es increíblemente hidratante y confortable.
This foundation has the coverage of a proper foundation but without any of the heaviness. It has a soft powdery finish to keep shine at bay, but quite remarkably, it’s not drying at all. I don’t usually gravitate towards matte foundations as they don’t do any favors to my very dry skin, but this one is surprisingly hydrating and comfortable.
Puedo ver esta base funcionando muy bien para pieles mixtas y grasas, pero también funciona bien para pieles secas, como en mi caso. Dudé durante mucho tiempo en comprar esta base porque supuse que resecaría demasiado y enfatizaría las arrugas y las zonas secas, pero aplicada sobre la piel bien hidratada, esta base deja un acabado muy natural e impecable. Después de llevarla todo día, se mantiene fresca y uniforme. Sin cuartearse y sin brillos ni parches a la vista.
I can see this foundation working really well for combination and oily skin types, but it also works well for dry skin types, like in my case. I hesitated for a long time to purchase this foundation because I assumed it would be too drying and it would emphasize wrinkles and dry patches, but applied over well moisturized skin, this foundation leaves a very natural, flawless skin-like finish. After a long day of wear, it stays fresh and even. No creasing, shine or patching on sight.
En mi opinión, esta es la base perfecta para ocasiones especiales, cuando lo primordial es que aguante todo el día con la piel perfecta. La he llevado durante toda la temporada de fiestas y estoy muy impresionada con su resultado y lo bonita que deja mi piel. Esta es definitivamente mi base mate favorita, ya que funciona maravillosamente bien en mi piel muy seca, proporcionando un precioso acabado mate luminoso con resultados muy duraderos. CHANEL Ultra Le Teint también se ha convertido en mi base de maquillaje favorita de CHANEL. Solo me gustaría que tuviera una formulación natural y sin tóxicos, pero me gusta tanto y la calidad es tan buena que me parece ideal guardarla para ocasiones especiales.
In my opinion, this is the perfect foundation for special occasions, when all day wear and flawless skin are paramount. I have been wearing it all festive season and I’m seriously impressed with its performance and how beautiful my skin looks. This is definitely my favorite matte foundation, as it performs wonderfully well on my very dry skin, delivering a gorgeous matte luminous finish with very long lasting results. CHANEL Ultra Le Teint has also become my current favorite CHANEL foundation. I only wished it had a natural, clean formulation, but I love it so much and the quality is so good, I’m happy to keep it for special occasions.
