According to the brand, GUERLAIN Terracotta Le Teint is a 24 hour wear, no-transfer, natural glow, perfecting foundation. With this amazing claim, and considering GUERLAIN is one of my favorite luxury makeup brands, I was very curious to try this promising makeup product. GUERLAIN Terracotta Le Teint is available in 30 shades, 16 intensities and 3 undertones (N neutral, C cool, W warm), covering a wide complexion spectrum. In addition, the formula contains the self-adaptable and unperceptible shimmer Gemtone, which adjusts to all skin tones.
El tono que más se ajusta a mi color de piel es el 2.5N pero siempre elijo un tono más, en este caso 3N, para dar a mi rostro efecto buena cara.
The shade closer to my skin tone is 2.5N, but I always go for a shade darker, 3N in this case, to get a healthier sun-kissed complexion.

La botella tiene un dosificador con pulsador dorado con grabado de doble G en la parte superior.
Inspired by the iconic codes of Terracotta bronzing powders, GUERLAIN Terracotta Le Teint comes in a delicate frosted clear glass bottle and a brown cap with the same design and finish as the Terracotta Bronzing Powder compact featuring GUERLAIN’s signature double G. The bottle has a golden pump with a double G engraving at the top.
En particular, me encantan las bases de maquillaje en envases de cristal con pulsador herméticos, ya que es mucho más fácil controlar la cantidad que se necesita y el producto se mantiene estable a lo largo de su uso.
I particularly love foundations in airless pump glass bottles, as it’s much easier to control the amount of foundation needed and the product remains stable throughout its use.

Llevo muchos años usando los polvos bronceadores Terracotta GUERLAIN -un producto que sigo comprando cada vez que se me acaba- y una de mis bases favoritas es GUERLAIN L´Essentiel Glow Foundation. Tenía muchas ganas de probar la nueva base de maquillaje de GUERLAIN Terracotta Le Teint, ya que he estado intentado encontrar la base de maquillaje perfecta para el verano que sustituya a MAC Pro Longwear Waterproof Foundation, una base que permanece inalterable incluso en los días de verano más calurosos y húmedos pero con el único inconveniente de que reseca mucho mi piel si la uso a diario.
I’ve been using GUERLAIN Terracotta Bronzing Powder for many years -a product I keep buying on repeat whenever I run out- and one of my favorite foundations is GUERLAIN L’Essentiel Glow Foundation. I was very excited to try the new GUERLAIN Terracotta Le Teint foundation, as I have been trying to find the perfect stay-in-place summer foundation for the longest time to susbtitute MAC Pro Longwear Waterproof Foundation -which truly stays in place even in the hottest and most humid summer days, the only problem is that it leaves my skin very dry when I use it on daily basis.

After testing it for several weeks, these are my impressions on GUERLAIN Terracotta Le Teint.
Textura Texture
Esta base de maquillaje líquida tiene una textura bastante densa. Es cremosa y se extiende bien sobre la piel, permitiendo una aplicación fácil e impecable. No se seca al instante, por lo que permite trabajar la textura y reaplicar para conseguir una mayor cobertura. Se asienta sobre la piel de forma muy natural sin dejar parches.
This liquid foundation has quite of a thick consistency. The texture is creamy and it blends well allowing an easy and seamless application. It doesn’t dry fast, so it allows you to work the product and build coverage for several minutes until it settles beautifully onto skin without patching or pilling.
Cobertura Coverage
GUERLAIN Terracotta Le Teint tiene una cobertura modulable de media a alta que cubre manchas, imperfecciones y ojeras sin necesidad de utilizar corrector. La cobertura total es muy natural, unifica el tono y da buena cara al instante.
GUERLAIN Terracotta Le Teint has a buildable coverage, going from medium to full, which perfectly covers blemishes dark spots and undereye dark circles without the need of using concealer. The full coverage looks very natural, evens skin tone and leaves complexión with a beautiful healthy glow.
Acabado Finish
Esta base proporciona un acabado mate de cobertura total que no se nota pesado en la piel y no queda acartonado ni empolvado. La piel queda cómoda y la base no se cuartea ni se asienta en las arrugas. La piel se mantiene sin brillos durante todo el día sin necesidad de aplicar polvos fijadores. El acabado mate es increíblemente natural y da a la piel una luminosidad muy saludable, como si hubiera pasado el día al aire libre.
This foundation provides a full coverage matte finish that doesn’t feel heavy nor look cakey or pawdery. It feels extremely comfortable on skin and it doesn’t crease or sit into fine lines. Skin stays matte throughout the day with no need to apply setting powder. The matte finsih is incredibly natural, giving skin a beeautiful radiant healthy glow, as if you had spent the day outdoors.

He estado llevando esta base de maquillaje sin parar desde que la probé por primera vez, hace aproximadamente un mes. Esto demuestra lo mucho que me gusta. Esto no significa que ya no me gusten las otras bases de mi colección, sino simplemente que esta va más allá. Desde la primera aplicación, me di cuenta que esta no es una base de maquillaje cualquiera. GUERLAIN Terracotta Le Teint tiene todo lo que me gusta en una base de maquillaje: gran cobertura, aplicación fácil e impecable, súper duradera, acabado mate natural, sin transferencia y hecha con ingredientes naturales.
I’ve been wearing this foundation non stop since the day I first tried it, which is about a month ago. This goes to show how much I love this foundation. This doesn’t mean I don’t like the other foundations in my collection anymore, but simply that this one goes the extra mile. From first application, I realised this is not an ordinary foundation. GUERLAIN Terracotta Le Teint is everything I like in a foundation: great coverage, easy and flawless application, super long lasting hold, natural matte finish, no transfer and made with natural ingredients.
Una de las cosas que más me gustan de esta base de maquillaje es que se mantiene inalterable durante horas. Después de llevarla todo el día, la piel se ve fresca y la base de maquillaje aguanta perfectamente sin desvanecerse, cuartearse o resecarse, incluso con altas temperaturas. También me encanta su acabado mate natural que casi parece como si hubiera aplicado polvos fijadores pero sin dejar la piel con aspecto apagado o empolvado. Mi piel queda saludable y radiante sin brillos indeseados. El acabado es muy natural. Como tengo la piel muy seca, aplico la base de maquillaje después de la crema hidratante y el resultado es una piel preciosa. Además su formulación deja mi piel hidratada y confortable durante y después de su uso. Me encanta esta base de maquillaje porque proporciona cobertura alta pero es súper ligera y lo mejor de todo es que no necesito aplicar corrector ni polvos fijadores. Es una base de maquillaje muy pigmentada y con poca cantidad es suficiente para una cobertura óptima, además el color no se oxida con el paso de las horas. Con su poder iluminador, mi piel queda bonita, sana y luminosa. La base de maquillaje realmente no se transfiere, algo que valoro especialmente, sobre todo en verano. El único inconveniente que le veo es que no incluye protección solar en su fórmula, pero a parte de esto, esta base de maquillaje me parece de lo más acertado. En muy poco tiempo, GUERLAIN Terracotta Le Teint se ha convertido en mi base de maquillaje favorita para el verano.
One of the things I really love about this foundation is that it holds all day. After a full day wear, skin looks beautiful and fresh and the foundation stays in place without fading, creasing or parching, even with very hot temperatures. I also love the finish, a beautiful natural matte that almost looks as if you have set the foundation with powder, but without making my skin look dull or powdery. Instead, my complexion looks healthy and radiant without undesired shine. The finish is very skin like. As my skin is very dry, I apply over moisturiser and the result is flawless. In addition, the formulation keeps my skin hydrated and comfortable during and after wear. This foundation provides great coverage yet it feels very light on skin and best of all is that I don’t need concealer or setting powder at all. It’s a very pigmented foundation and a little bit goes a long way plus the color doesn’t oxidise. With a lit from within glow, it provides a natural sun-kissed, healthy look. The formulation is genuinely no transfer, which is a wonderful bonus, specially for summer. The only con I find to this foundation is that it doesn’t include SPS in its formulation, but apart from this. I’m truly impressed with this foundation. In no time, GUERLAIN Terracotta Le Teint has become my go-to summer foundation.

I also go for a shade darker and for the same reason. The days of baking myself in the sun are long gone.
I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one. Makeup rules say to match foundation with your skin tone, but I never did! I love sun, but I keep my skin protected to avoid sun damage and going a shade darker with my foundation does the trick.
