Finding a makeup dupe always makes my day. What’s not to love about a makeup product that delivers similar results as a luxe one but at the fraction of the price. Affordable beauty brands follow the framework of holy grail products borrowing elements of ingredients, textures, colors and formulations while remaining low cost. This is the way makeup dupes are born and in recent years this has become common practice in the beauty industry. But what exactly is a makeup dupe?

It’s important to consider the ethical implications of supporting the dupe culture. l keep away from very cheap alternatives which may contain subpar ingredients harmful for skin and health or brands that might follow non-ethical practices. I only focus on well-known beauty brands with reasonably priced products that guarantee good standards of quality and safe practices.

Un consejo sobre dupes que puedo dar es que aunque un producto low-cost tenga el envase muy similar a uno de lujo, no significa necesariamente que sea un dupe. En muchos casos, te puedes encontrar que su contenido no tenga nada que ver con el producto original.

One piece of advice I can give regarding dupes is that just because a budget friendly makeup product looks very similar in packaging as a luxe alternative, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a dupe. In most cases, the contents don’t have much in common.

I find this cute BURJOIS Little Round Pot blush in shade Rose de Jaspe a very close match for the iconic NARS Orgasm Blush. I own both products and there’s hardly no difference in performance and results: same warm pink tone, same glow, same color pay-off, same buildability and same lasting power. The only difference here is that BURJOIS Little Round Pot is a little more pigmented and it’s less buildable than NARS Orgasm Blush.

I absolutely love NARS Orgasm Blush, one of my favorite powder blushes of all times, but at 8 €, BURJOIS Little Round Pot in Rose de Jaspe is the most similar affordable alternative I’ve ever tried.

KIKO Lip Volume

DIOR Addict Lip Maximizer es un producto viral considerado una compra de culto en el mundo de la belleza. Tengo el producto y puedo decir honestamente que este labial rellenador es realmente bueno y vale lo que cuesta. Hace poco he tenido la suerte de encontrar un dupe maravilloso para el tono Pink del icónico labial de DIOR: KIKO Lip Volume en el tono Tutu Rose.

DIOR Addict Lip Maximizer is a viral sensation and considered a cult buy in the beauty world. I own the product myself and I can honestly say this lip volumizer is truly amazing and worth its price. To my surprise, I recently found a wonderful dupe for the Pink hue of this iconic volumizing DIOR lip product: KIKO Lip Volume in Tutu Rose.

Me encanta llevar mis cejas naturales pero bien cuidadas. Los productos transparentes para cejas son mis favoritos para conseguir el look de cejas naturales. Para fijar las cejas me encanta usar brow soap o lo que es lo mismo, jabón de cejas, ya que proporciona fijación extra y consigue un acabado muy definido. MAKEUP REVOLUTION Soap Styler fija mis cejas y las deja más más espesas y mullidas. Además es un producto ideal para lograr el look de cejas laminadas.

MAKEUP REVOLUTION Soap Styler is an amazing dupe for PATRICK TA Major Brow Shaping Wax, a luxe makeup product I had the chance to try at Sephora and I eventually decided for the dupe, as they perform almost the same.

WET & WILD Mega Sticks Lip Gloss

Otro dupe increíble que he tenido la oportunidad de descubrir recientemente es del famoso FENTY BEAUTY Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer. Nunca he comprado ninguno de los brillos de labios de FENTY BEAUTY porque aunque quedan espectaculares, son un poco pegajosos y no soporto la sensación de labios pegajosos. Another amazing dupe I had the opportunity to discover recently is for the infamous FENTY BEAUTY Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in shade Fenty Glow. I never bought any of FENTY BEAUTY lip glosses because although they look amazing on lips, they feel a tad sticky and I can’t stand sticky lips. Trying WET & WILD lip glosses one day, I realized WET & WILD Mega Sticks Lip Gloss in Call Me Boss looks exactly the same as FENTY BEAUTY Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in shade Fenty Glow.

Por sólo 3,99 €, la diferencia de precio es espectacular. At 3,99 €, the price gap is amazing. The packaging of FENTY BEAUTY Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer is definitely more beautiful and much better quality, but other than that, performance is the same with the bonus that WET & WILD Mega Sticks Lip Gloss is not sticky at all and it tastes super nice.

CATRICE HD Liquid Coverage Foundation

CATRICE HD Liquid Coverage Foundation es una de esas bases de maquillaje de acabado mate natural que no se transfieren y que se mantienen inalterables durante horas. Personalmente pienso que es muy parecida a ESTÉE LAUDER Double Wear Foundation pero con un acabado más natural y a un precio muchísimo más asequible.

CATRICE HD Liquid Coverage Foundation is one of those stay-in-place, flawless natural matte finish foundations that doesn’t disappoint. Personally, I see it as a dupe for ESTÉE LAUDER Double Wear Foundation with a more natural finish and at a small fraction of the price.

Me gusta usar esta base de maquillaje cuando busco un acabado mate natural de larga duración y cobertura completa. Siempre hace que mi piel quede impecable, pero muy natural y no se nota nada pesada en la piel.

I reach for this foundation when I’m looking for a natural matte long lasting full coverage finish. It always makes my skin look flawless, but it looks very natural without feeling heavy on skin.
