A pesar de que me encantan los perfumes de CHANEL, nunca me he atrevido a llevar CHANEL Nº5. Es un perfume maravilloso lleno de historia y glamour con una composición única de notas florales, amaderadas y aldéhicas, pero no es para mí. CHANEL Nº5 se creó en 1921 y aunque es todo un icono de la perfumería y se sigue vendiendo actualmente, es demasiado clásico y vintage para mi gusto. Como no soy muy fan del ADN de CHANEL Nº 5, no presté mucha atención al lanzamiento de CHANEL Nº5 Eau Première en 2015. Soy coleccionista de perfumes y el año pasado para mi cumpleaños mi marido me regaló una de las pocas fragancias de CHANEL que faltan en mi colección, CHANEL Nº5 Eau Première.
As much as I love CHANEL fragrances, I never dared to wear the original CHANEL Nº5. It’s a beautiful fragrance with an amazing background, lots of glamour and a unique composition of floral, wood and aldehyde accords, but it’s not for me. CHANEL Nº5 was created in 1921 and although it’s a real icon still sold these days, I find it far too classic and vintage. As I’m not fond of CHANEL Nº5 DNA, I didn’t pay much attention when CHANEL Nº5 Eau Première launched back in 2015. As I collect fragrances, my husband gifted me for my last year’s birthday one of the few CHANEL fragrances still missing in my collection, which happened to be CHANEL Nº5 Eau Première.
CHANEL Nº5 Eau Première es un flanker muy equilibrado (flanker entendido como una versión ligeramente diferente del perfume original y que conserva todo o parte de su nombre). Se puede reconocer la esencia de CHANEL Nº5, pero tiene personalidad propia. Los aldehídos están presentes pero de forma más sutil, sólo se detectan en la salida, dando paso a notas florales y particularmente al acorde de vainilla. Personalmente, me encanta el acorde de vainilla de CHANEL Nº5 Eau Première. Es increíblemente cremoso y suave con un delicado toque especiado, pero sin ser dulce en el sentido comestible. Combinado con el ylang-ylang y el sándalo, hace que esta fragancia sea súper aterciopelada, cremosa y cálida.
CHANEL Nº5 Eau Première is a very balanced flanker – a flanker refers to newly created perfume that shares some attributes of the original perfume and keeps all or part of its name. You can recognize CHANEL Nº5 core scent in it, yet it has its own personality. The aldehydes are present but in a more subtle way, only detectable at the opening, giving way to floral notes and particularly to the vanilla accord. I personally love the vanilla accord in CHANEL Nº5 Eau Première. It’s amazingly creamy and smooth with a hint of spice but not sweet in the edible kind of sense. Paired with ylang-ylang and sandalwood, it makes this fragrance super velvety, creamy and warming.
Llevar CHANEL Nº5 Eau Première es una maravilla. Para mí, fue suficiente llevarla un fin de semana para caer en su belleza. Es una fragancia reconfortante y sofisticada a la vez. Una combinación que por extraña que parezca, define perfectamente a CHANEL Nº5 Eau Première. No cansa, no es intrusiva y te envuelve en un tierno halo de elegancia. CHANEL Nº5 Eau Première is a beautiful scent to wear. For me, it was enough wearing it for a weekend to absolutely fall in love with its beauty. This fragrance is cozy and sophisticated at equal parts, an almost imposible combination that wonderfully defines CHANEL Nº5 Eau Première. The cozy, warm and comforting feel of this fragrance makes it perfect for cold days. For me, it’s mainly an autumn and winter fragrance.
En mi opinión, esta fragancia fusiona vintage y modernidad a la perfección. Este es probablemente uno de los motivos por los que me gusta tanto este perfume. In my opinion, this fragrance fusions vintage and modern wonderfully. This is probably one of the reasons I love this fragrance so much. My style has always been a combination of vintage and modern pieces and CHANEL Nº5 Eau Première is exactly this combination. Considering I’m not a big fan of the original CHANEL Nº5, it’s crazy to think how much I love CHANEL Nº5 Eau Première. I particularly love wearing it for special occasions because it truly radiates fineness, but it’s so soft and beautiful it can be worn for any occasion.

Regarding lasting power and projection, CHANEL Nº5 Eau Première lasts for hours, both on skin and clothes, and it delivers a moderate projection. I personally think it has the right understated projection for such a refined and chic fragrance. CHANEL Nº5 Eau Première smells so dreamy I can see myself having it permanently in my collection for many years to come. It’s unbelievably classy and it projects the kind of timeless glamour I love wearing.

Chanel Nº5 is an extremely beautiful fragrance, just a shame Patty cannot wear it now, but health comes first. I get bad migranes with certain scents, but fortunately I can wear Chanel Nº5 Eau Première with no problems. I love this fragrance because it keeps Chanel Nº5 DNA but it’s much lighter, smoother and creamier.

One of the most beautiful perfumes I’ve had the chance to smell. I’m glad you discovered the beauty of this special Chanel.
